HOW TO BOOK your event at THE SCHOOLHOUSE:

  1. Complete the Event Request in CONTACT or
  2. Contact Gail at 814-474-1897 for a tour, date availability, contract or
  3. Request a proposal to include costs for venue, rental items, beverages – see pdf below
  4. Complete contract, send contract signed with deposit = BOOKED!

 

VENUE ACCOMMODATES:

The Schoolhouse accommodates up to 120 guests using both levels.  This max accommodation is for a reception style flow event with limited seating.  For a seated dinner or lunch/brunch, The Schoolhouse accommodates max 60 guests (6 rounds of 10 shown in photo) with a buffet table.  A plated served dinner: 70 seated guests may be accommodated.  For a wedding ceremony, max 80 chairs may be accommodated with additional bridal party standing at front.  For an outdoor ceremony under our gorgeous Beech Tree chairs may be set for an additional fee.  The Swan Tavern (lower level) accommodates 60 guests.  The Tavern rental includes all existing seating, approx. 40 seats.  Courtyard (May-October) has 25 seats using existing seating.

VENUE INCLUDES:

Intimate use of the historic and renovated Schoolhouse.  Personalization using chalkboards, photo clothes pin lines, teacher cabinet.  Beautiful large farm table for buffet or for dining, benches, upholstered chair(s) for guest(s) of honor. Complimentary wifi and wireless sound system with access to Pandora/Spotify. Outdoor Courtyard if renting Tavern level or full rental.  (Banquet tables, chairs and linens may be rented as needed).  Schoolhouse does not provide catering.

 

RATES:  Price listed is 4 hour includes set up and pack up. 

Thursday/Friday:

$250 = Semi-Private Rental – Event held in Schoolroom while Swan Tavern open to public  (Thursday & Friday only).  4 hours includes your set up and pack up.

Bar service may be provided upstairs to guests = $50 bartender fee.

 

$300 = ONE FLOOR ONLY = SCHOOLROOM only or TAVERN only,

4 hour includes set up and pack up.

 

FOR PRIVATE, exclusive use of entire venue:

 

-Weekday DAY* ($300)

 

-Weekday EVENING, M-Th, ($400)

 

-Saturday & Sunday ($500)

 

-Thursday or Friday to close Tavern for a private event, minimum revenues will apply.

 

 

 

-$100 additional hour, typically added if wedding ceremony and reception being held together.

 

BOOKING DETAILS:

*Venue rental does not include banquet style tables and chairs and linens – please click on RFP = request for proposal below so that we can prepare a proposal for your specific event.

 

*DAY events (10am – 2pm)  or (11am – 3pm)  / EVENING events (5pm – 9pm)  or  (6pm – 10pm).

 

**Holiday Weekends (additional $200)

New Years, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas.

 

*Additional hours at $100 per hour.

 

*Rates are subject to change,  however once contract signed, rates stated will be honored.

 

*50% due upon signing contract. Final payment due 1 month prior to event.
